How to deactivate / remove an account
Primarily Notes about removing accounts
- Deactivating an account will leave all posts by that person intact.
- Removing an account will delete all posts and replies.
How to deactivate or remove an account
- Log into Workplace and go to 'Admin'
- Go to 'People'
- Search for the person, using the filter option.
- Check the status of the account.
- If the account has never been active within the system (example below), delete the account.
- Awaiting invitation = no email sent to the user with the invite link
- Invited = email sent with invite, but the end user has not clicked on it
- if the account has accepted the invitation (example below), then deactivate the account.
- To deactivate or remove it, select the 'More options' menu and whichever option is applicable
- If there is a requirement to delete multiple accounts, use the 'Filter' option mentioned above to search for the accounts. They will still need to be deactivated or deleted, one by one
